最大攝氧量 也稱為“氧極限”, 當運動強度增加到一定限度後,人體的攝氧和用氧能力不再繼續增加。此時的攝氧量就是最大攝氧量。VO2MAX是用來反映運動員的有氧能力和運動潛能的最重要的指標。有絕對和相對兩種表示方法。絕對值表示為L/min,相對值表示為ml/kg*min。一般人的VO2max的相對值為45ml/kg*min(即每公斤體重每分鐘的攝氧量),運動員可以達到60-70,而7屆環法冠軍Lans Armstrong的最大攝氧量為85ml/kg*min﹗
